Master’s Degree Program

We are expecting individuals with an ambition to study and challenge their own limits with passion in the field of science. We also welcome those who are willing to expand their possibilities into different fields from those they studied prior to admission or working adults with ambitions to study and research while working.

Specifically

• Those who are interested in various natural phenomena and theories regarding life and substance, comprehend them in light of informatic or systematic viewpoints, and have great interest in the subjects of science studies.
• Those who have sufficient academic capability in the fundamental area of science as well as those willing to tackle relevant but unfamiliar areas of expertise.

Content and Level of Required Knowledge

In addition to common mastery of knowledge at the scientific university level, it is required to have mastered fundamental expertise in biology at the molecular level or at the individual and species level for the bioinformatics course and fundamental expertise in physics, chemistry, mathematics, or information science for the natural informatics course. Experiences or interests in programming are desired for both courses.

Doctor’s Degree Program

For general selection, working adult special selection

• A person with ambition and the ability to find and solve subjects by him/herself

Content and Level of Required Knowledge

It is desired to have linguistic abilities for treatise preparation and presentation in international conferences, in addition to sufficient fundamental knowledge for research.
