Current Research Topics(1) Molecular Structure of Spider's Thread:
To reveal the mechanisms of marvelous property of spider's thread, molecular structural study has been applied by the imaging microscopic FT-IR. We are also proposing new functional materials of fibroin derivatives.

(2) Time-resolved Spectroscopic Study on Reorientation of Liquid Crystals:
Time-resolved spectroscopy has been performed to investigate the molecular structure of liquid crystals. Study on reorientation dynamics of liquid crystals by means of 2D correlation analyses are carring out, as well.

(3) Inter-molecular Interaction of Single Monolayer Films and Liquid Crystals:
Our group focuses on the topics of the inter-molecular interaction and mechanisms of reorientation regurated by 'Command Surfaces' LB films.

(4) Near Infrared Spectroscopy and Chemometorics study on Food Science:
NIR spectroscopy has been applied to Food analytical chemistries.
